Both small animals and horses should see the veterinarian yearly. This appointment will include a full physical exam and consultation regarding any needed follow-up care.
During wellness visits, the veterinarians at our practice will work with you to decide what vaccinations are necessary for your dog, cat, or horse. Deworming, heartworm prevention, flea & tick prevention, nutrition, and juvenile/elderly care will all be discussed at your appointment.
If you bring a sick or injured animal to our clinic, a full medical work-up will be performed. Physical examination, bloodwork, x-rays, or other pertinent information will be collected. Hospitalization is possible for small or large animal patients when necessary.
Bring in any medical history you have of your animal when you come to our vet clinic. It's best to keep a journal of your pet's health throughout his or her life, including behavioral shifts. If you have something like this, share it with our team. If not, let us know everything that you think will be important.
In some circumstances, our clinic will refer you to a specialist who has advanced expertise in areas such as internal medicine or surgery. If one of our qualified veterinarians is visiting your farm, you can expect them to walk you through the process thoroughly. Have your animal caught and ready for examination or treatment when the doctor arrives. We strive to make it to your farm at the scheduled time or call with any delays beforehand. If x-rays or invasive treatments need to be performed, you may be asked to schedule an in-clinic appointment.
